Sibling Rivalry

I've decided that I like babies. Mostly, just to bug Ben. (He hates it when he has to wait while I have a turn holding them.) Pretty much, my policy is to want anything Ben wants and to try and take it from him.
I have to admit, they are kind of cute though...
You know what I like even more than liking babies to bug Ben? Acting like a burnout with that guy. He's funny, and sometimes he gets such great ideas of things to do... Especially in the bath.
I'm a little smarter than Ben though. I took my suction cup off my forehead before it gave me a hickey. Ben still has a red circle a day later.
Pfft. He's not as good at doing dumb stuff and hiding the evidence afterwards as I am.

Happy Birthday Grampa!

My gift to you is that I took out the hairdo Mommy gave Ben. He looks better like this hey? (Not very happy though. Oh well. You can't have everything.)

Birthday Pictures: Part Two

On my actual factual birthday I was a little sick, so we took it easy for most of the day.

In the morning I woke up kind of grumpy:

Ben came and gave me some hugs:

So I cheered up:
After breakfast we went outside and did some swinging on our new swing set:
In the afternoon Mommy took us to playland so I could kick some babies out of the baby swing and do a little more swinging:

Ben and I had some post-bath cuddles with Daddy:

And finally a pre-bedtime movie with Ben:

And that was pretty much it. Turning two takes a lot out of you, so it was nice to have a mostly lazy day just hanging around taking it all in. The world looks pretty different once you've ridden it around the sun two whole times.

Oh Wookit!

I followed my big brother around for a while today. We went in puddles. It was my first time on a puddle walk. I liked it. There was lots of splashing to do, and lots and lots of things to see...

Wookit dat! Woah! Wooooooooo!
Woah! Woah! Woah! I geddit!
Wookit! Wassat? Wassat? Bike! Wookit!
Oh! Woah! Wook! Wookit! Bus! Woah! Woo! Wooooooooooooooooooooo!
Then Mommy took us for a ride. I liked that too, but I cried when she I realized she had taken us all the way back home. I hope she takes us out for some puddle walking again tomorrow.

Sliding

One of my Christmas presents was this fancy sled. I let Ben come on it too... But only because Mommy and Daddy made me.
Then Daddy climbed on. That ticked me off a little bit.
Mommy and Ben went for a slide first.
Aunty stayed at the top of the hill to keep me company.
Then Aunty took Ben. Sigh. When do I get to go?
Finally.
Going down was easy and going up... Was just as easy.
It's good to be little.

Wo! This thing sure goes fast with all these people on here!
Aunty had to rest after that one. It was pretty intense.
Ben got some snow in his face when Mommy and Aunty had to put on the breaks. It took him a little while to cheer up.
Yup. It's good to be little.

Yah! Move there Aunty! Giddy up!
Nothing like a free ride and a nice stick to keep you company.
Good times.

Mommy says once it isn't -52 we'll go again. I can hardly wait!

I stole the revel!

The other day I walked in on Ben in the kitchen and found him with something that looked like just the kind of thing that I would like. And oh boy... Was it ever.

At first he didn't mind sharing.

Then, when he discovered that I kinda gobbed a little bit on his revel thing, he did mind sharing. Oh boy... Did he ever. (That guy needs to learn to handle a messes a little better I think.)

So I took it.

And I would do it again.

Mommy got him another one though, so it all worked out for the best.

My Budder Bugs Me

I like to play on the floor. I am learning to crawl and I am getting pretty good at it. I like to play with toys and vacuums and all kinds of things. Kleenex is a special favorite of mine if I can get my hands on it. I would be pretty happy if I could just do my own thing without someone bugging me all the time.

Are you wondering why my pants are so puffy?
It's cause Ben thought they needed some blocks in them. Lots of blocks. A whole container of blocks. You would think I would be safe playing right beside Mummy, but that Ben is so fast and quiet when he is on a mission. No wonder I am grumpy all the time.

Plus I have a rash. All over.

Sick Day

I don't like being sick. I don't like it when I am trying to sleep in my swing. I don't like it when someone is holding me. I don't like it when no one is holding me. I don't like it when I am in my highchair. I don't like it when I am in my Jolly Jumper. I don't like it when I am lying on the floor. I don't like it when I am sitting on the floor. I only like it when I am in the bath, so I am having lots of baths.

Speed Up!

Ben told me to hold tight cause it was gonna be a wild ride. I don't know what he was talking about. He drives like Noah. Ahhh well, you take what you can get. I need Ethan to come visit. Now that guy can drive!

I'm Bored

I am getting to be a pretty big boy. I like playing with toys and if I pay attention to what I'm doing I can sit up all by myself. The trouble with getting older is that the older you get the older you want to be. I want to be able to play like my big budder. I want to walk around and pick up toys. I don't want to sit in things, or on laps. I want to do my own thing and I want to do it now. I am not good at waiting for things, so if I'm bored people are gonna hear about it.

Bath Budders

Mommy's note: Just so you all know... Ben's fancy bath bomb things make the water green... Or blue... Or red... Or yellow... Or purple... Or orange. Yorkton water is gross, but not quite that gross.

A Post From Mommy

I know this is a lot of pictures. I honestly couldn't pick my favorite though. I'm pretty sure I think they are cuter than you guys will. I think it's because this might be one of those "You had to be there" times.

Ben and Sam and I walked to the mall the other day to get Ben a gonut and just to hang around a bit. Ben wore his leash and all the old people thought he was adorable. Which, obviously, he was. Glen met us once school was over and we shared some treats sitting on a bench. Of course, Ben spotted, and had to go in, those little car rides they have at every mall. Happily, he doesn't really care if you put money in them. He's pretty much ecstatic just sitting in them pretending to drive. The big surprise was Sam loving it even more than Ben did. For some reason he thought Ben was hysterically funny and laughed like crazy the whole time. It was so cute. I tell you, on days like that I am so glad I bring our camera everywhere. It was one of those common everyday moments that make life beautiful and I never want to forget it.
