Birthday Pictures: Part One

Well, here it is. As promised. Finally.

Sam had a mini-pre-party at Gramma and Grampa's a week or so before he actually turned two. I went all out on the cake:

Looks like store bought cake does as good a job at getting the birthday boy dirty as a homemade cake: (And it actually worked out to be cheaper because Gramma bought it!)

So there it is. Sam's birthday extravaganza. It was nice to have a celebration with the family. Gramma Braun was there too, she brought a train whistle for Sam, which was fab for me because we already had ONE that the boys fought over all the time. Now they can be trains together.

I still have a birthday project in the works for Sam, but that will have to wait for another time, because of something I'm waiting for that should have shown up in the mail almost two months ago. I called to complain and they assured me it would be only five more days, which was Thursday. I'll probably have to phone again. It may be next year when I finally finish up with Sam's birthday!

We Went to the Zoo!

A long time ago, so long that I can barely remember it, Mommy took us to the Zoo...

"Pup pup!"

"It's a good thing you have a place for me to ride since I seem to have misplaced my footwear."

"I think I saw another pup pup!"

"Get back here. You look like you need a hug!"

"Whadya mean you don't need a hug? Everyone needs a hug!"

"Pup pup?"

"I like this zoo place! Three times, and I could still go more!"

From Mommy: I have never seen a child get so excited to look at animals. At some points I was concerned that Sam might actually explode with excitement. He liked the ducks best and stood and screamed at them whenever he saw some. I had trouble getting him away from each exibit and he would cry every time we walked away from a pup pup he was looking at... Till we got to the next one. He loved being able to run free on the paths with the other boys too. The only trouble was he kept taking off his shoes, and once Melissa and I actually had some trouble finding one of them. Ah, Sam, you are such a little firecracker. You just wanted to make sure you kept Mommy on her toes!

The Adventures of Sammy

I thought Dada might like to know what I've been doing the last few days.Every where I go it seems like there are cars and trucks all over the place. I say trucks really well now. Instead of "k", I say "guk". And I say bus. School buses are my favorite.
I've got to do a little playing with my big buddy Connor at the park. He looks tough, but really he's a big softy.
Mommy took me to the pool with Aunty Ang and her friends Macala and Madison. I like swimming, but I like sliding even better. Too bad Mommy is so lazy though. She only took me down the water slide a measly ten times. Wimp.
I had a pretty good time anyways. I like visiting with Gramma and Grampa. Every day is an adventure. Wait till you see what else we've been up zoo!

Sammy at the Park

I love being outside, and being outside at a park with a whole bunch of my favorite people is even better.

Ho man. This is a big ball. I wonder if it would fit in my mouth.

Aunty took me swinging when we visited last week. I liked it.
